Dance Hall and the Little Fellow in “The Gold Rush”

The reason I want to show this photo is because I just watched “The Gold Rush” and I teared up. It was such a beautiful story! I love this scene the most. I have watched a couple other films of his and this is a common theme. The idea of individuals looking so hard for love. For Chaplin and his character, it is especially sad as he is a man in everlasting search for love and acceptance. And to me, I can really relate to this. I feel like I am always on the outside looking in. Yet, I can always relate to the character too in the sense that he keeps going along with a smile on his face, taking on life’s challenges with some sort of sense of humor. It was such charming and divine film! I love Chaplin and what he does with film! It has been a while since I have laughed as hard as I did when I watched this film, as well as tearing up at such sentimental and heart-breaking scenes. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

To me, I will always forever relate to the Little Fellow and his everlasting search for love and happiness in life and yes, there will be very episodes of cheerlessness but as long as I keep going, everything will be ok.

So I don’t own this image. I found it on https://thetimelady.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/goldrush6dancehall.jpg?w=300. I don’t intend on selling this photo or making any profit on it.

He's a little cold today.
